About the pharmacy groups directory

This directory lists every pharmacy group registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) that operates one or more pharmacies in England or Scotland. Each row shows the group name, number of pharmacies in the group, and total prescription items dispensed in the last 12 months. Use it to find chains, independents, and corporate owners, and to compare dispensing volumes across groups.

Data is sourced from NHS prescription and contractor datasets and is updated regularly. Click a group name to see its individual pharmacies, locations, and dispensing breakdowns. You can sort by group name, pharmacy count, or items dispensed to find the largest chains or explore smaller groups.
