Pharmacy context
This community pharmacy is situated in Worcester city centre. The pharmacy dispenses NHS prescriptions, private prescriptions and sells over-the-counter medicines. It also provides a range of services including seasonal flu vaccinations, the NHS Pharmacy First service and blood pressure testing. The pharmacy supplies medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to some people to help them take their medicines at the right time. A substance misuse and needle exchange service are also available. This was a desktop inspection following an inspection in September 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 1.2, 1.6 and 2.2. This reinspection focused on the Standards which had previously not been met. The pharmacy has reviewed its arrangements for learning from mistakes and has updated the process that it would follow if the pharmacy team was made aware of an incident or complaint. It has carried out a review of the way that it keeps its records and is ensuring all records are maintained in accordance with legal and best practice requirements. And staff have been enrolled on appropriate training courses for the roles they are carrying out in the pharmacy.
