What are GPhC inspection reports?
The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) inspects registered pharmacies against five standards. Reports show whether the pharmacy met the standards, with improvement or enforcement action where needed. Premises ID is the same as the pharmacy's GPhC registration number.

Pharmacy context
This community pharmacy is situated in the city centre of Lancaster. The pharmacy dispenses NHS prescriptions, private prescriptions and sells over-the-counter medicines. It also provides a range of services including seasonal flu and COVID vaccinations, and the NHS Pharmacy First service. The pharmacy supplies medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to some people to help them take their medicines at the right time. This was a desktop inspection following an inspection in April 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standard 4.3. This reinspection focused on those Standards which had previously not been met. The pharmacy provided photographic and video evidence to show how they had met standard 4.3. The evidence clearly showed higher risk medicines were now being stored correctly in line with the requirements. And as a result of these improvements, higher risk medicines were stored safely and securely to protect them against unauthorised access.
