Inspection Reports

What are GPhC inspection reports?

The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) inspects registered pharmacies against five standards. Reports show whether the pharmacy met the standards, with improvement or enforcement action where needed. Premises ID is the same as the pharmacy's GPhC registration number.

Pharmacy context

This community pharmacy is in the centre of the village of Castor, alongside mainly residential properties. Its main activities are dispensing NHS prescriptions and providing other NHS services including the Pharmacy First service, the Hypertension Case-finding service, and seasonal flu vaccinations. The pharmacy also provides a medicine delivery service and supplies medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to some people who need this support. It is generally open Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm though closes at 1pm on Wednesday. This was an inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion.
