Pharmacy context
This is a traditional community pharmacy located in a pedestrianised retail shopping area. Its main activity is supplying NHS prescription medicines. The pharmacy supplies a large number of people’s medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs. It also provides other NHS services including Pharmacy First, the New Medicine Service (NMS) and influenza vaccinations, emergency hormonal contraception (EHC) and contraception services. The pharmacy offers private weight management treatment and ear wax removal services. This was a reinspection following an inspection in May 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 1.7 and 4.3. This reinspection focused on those Standards which had previously not been met. The pharmacy had generally improved its arrangements for protecting patient information and securing higher risk medicines.
