Inspection Reports

What are GPhC inspection reports?

The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) inspects registered pharmacies against five standards. Reports show whether the pharmacy met the standards, with improvement or enforcement action where needed. Premises ID is the same as the pharmacy's GPhC registration number.

Pharmacy context

The pharmacy is co-located with a Post Office on a high street in a residential area. As well as dispensing NHS prescriptions the pharmacy supplies medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to some people who need help managing their medicines and delivers medicines to some patients. The pharmacy also provides the Hypertension Case Finding Service, the Pharmacy First service, the Contraception service, the minor ailments service, supervised consumption and flu and covid vaccinations. And it offers a travel clinic and weight loss via Patient Group Directions (PGDs). The pharmacy also rents a consultation room to a pharmacist independent prescriber who operates a face-to-face weight loss service. This service was not inspected on this occasion. This was an intelligence-led inspection of the pharmacy following information received by the GPhC. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in October 2021 and all standards were met.
