What are GPhC inspection reports?
The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) inspects registered pharmacies against five standards. Reports show whether the pharmacy met the standards, with improvement or enforcement action where needed. Premises ID is the same as the pharmacy's GPhC registration number.

Pharmacy context
This is a busy community pharmacy within a GP surgery in the centre of Grantham, Lincolnshire. Its main services include dispensing NHS prescriptions. The pharmacy sells a small range of over-the-counter medicines. It provides a range of NHS and private consultation services including NHS Pharmacy First, NHS blood pressure check service, NHS New Medicine Service (NMS), vaccination services, weight loss treatment and vitamin B injections. It supplies medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to some people to help them remember to take their medicines. And it delivers medicines to people’s homes. This was a reinspection following an inspection in March 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 1.2 and 4.3. This reinspection focused on the Standards which had previously not been met and those requiring improvement. Since the last inspection, the pharmacy has changed its processes for recording mistakes. As a result, recording rates are improved meaning there are more opportunities to share learning and to act to reduce risk. The pharmacy has also reviewed its storage arrangements for medicines and stock management processes to help ensure medicines are stored safely and securely. And routine checks are conducted and recorded to ensure medicines held in stock remain safe to supply to people. The pharmacy has acted on feedback provided at the last inspection to support it in managing risk by commencing a review of its written procedures. And it has sought assurances that it is working with appropriately regulated third-party prescribers when providing private healthcare services.
