What are GPhC inspection reports?
The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) inspects registered pharmacies against five standards. Reports show whether the pharmacy met the standards, with improvement or enforcement action where needed. Premises ID is the same as the pharmacy's GPhC registration number.

Pharmacy context
This busy community pharmacy is located within a village medical centre. Most people who use the pharmacy are from the local area and a home delivery service is available. The pharmacy dispenses NHS prescriptions, and it sells a range of over-the-counter medicines. It provides seasonal flu and COVID-19 vaccination services, and some other NHS funded services including the Pharmacy First Service. The pharmacy supplies a large number of medicines in multi-compartment compliance aid packs to help people take their medicines at the right time. It operates seven days a week and opens early in the morning and closes late in the evening on weekdays. This was a desktop inspection following an inspection in October 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standard 1.6. Improvements have been made in the pharmacy's record keeping, and the superintendent pharmacist is continuing to monitor this. The pharmacy team have also reviewed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in relation to the recording of controlled drugs (CD) and private prescriptions, and monthly CD stock audits have been implemented.
