Pharmacy context
This busy community pharmacy is located next to a Health Centre. Most people who use the pharmacy are from the local area and a home delivery service is available. The pharmacy dispenses NHS prescriptions, and it sells a range of over-the-counter medicines. It provides seasonal flu and COVID-19 vaccination services and some other NHS funded services including the Pharmacy First Service. It also provides a number of private services including travel vaccinations and a weight management service. The pharmacy supplies some medicines in multi-compartment compliance aid packs to help people take their medicines at the right time. Over 50% of prescriptions are sent to the company's hub to be dispensed. This was a routine inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in November 2015.
