Inspection Reports

What are GPhC inspection reports?

The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) inspects registered pharmacies against five standards. Reports show whether the pharmacy met the standards, with improvement or enforcement action where needed. Premises ID is the same as the pharmacy's GPhC registration number.

Pharmacy context

This is a community pharmacy in Oban. It dispenses NHS prescriptions including supplying medicines in multi‐compartment compliance packs. The pharmacy dispenses private prescriptions and team members advise on minor ailments and medicines use. This was a desktop reinspection following an inspection in November 2024 where the pharmacy did not meet Standard 4.3. This reinspection focussed on the Standards which had previously not been met. The pharmacy has improved its fridge monitoring procedures and can show that medicines are kept between the accepted range of between 2 and 8 degrees Celsius. It has introduced new arrangements for drug recalls and alerts. And an audit trail of annotated notifications are kept to show the actions taken, including the removal of any affected items.
