What are GPhC inspection reports?
The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) inspects registered pharmacies against five standards. Reports show whether the pharmacy met the standards, with improvement or enforcement action where needed. Premises ID is the same as the pharmacy's GPhC registration number.

Pharmacy context
This is a pharmacy on the high street in the seaside village of Prestonpans in East Lothian. Its main activities are dispensing NHS prescriptions and providing some people with their medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to help them take their medicines properly. It delivers medicines to some people in their homes. And it provides NHS services such as NHS Pharmacy First. This was a reinspection following an inspection June 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standard 1.1. This reinspection focused on the Standard which had previously not been met. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. Since the last inspection, the superintendent pharmacist has implemented a range of standard operation procedures for team members to refer to. And team members are reading through the procedures. They maintain records to show which ones they have read and to confirm their understanding of these procedures.
